    Measuring CO2

Clever stuff. We send our agriculture gas samples to a lab where they analyse CO2 and N2O using gas chromatography. About $10 a sample. Interesting, nitrous oxide is Far worse than CO2 in terms of a GHG but it gets little mention in the funny pages...

    2018 Hop Plantations

Little buggers, still air and humidity not a good combo. Mabye birds and the like are taking them out above the roof line too? I've whacked the mites with some mitecide - seems to have done the trick. Interestingly the mites went for the old leaves on early bull-bines - (Dr Rudi and Tettnang)...

With many 'foreign' beers now brewed in Australia, is it time for clearer labels?

Yes, tipped out half the can and went downstairs for a homebrew. My homebrew is not great, so that's saying something...

With many 'foreign' beers now brewed in Australia, is it time for clearer labels?

Gave into temptation and grabbed a 4 x 500mL Carlsberg at Aldi today ( none of the Christmas specials in stock). Bad move. It tastes like water with a dash of marzipan... Blrrrk.

    Byron Bay Brewery

Just what's in the local paper, sounds like January is likely. https://www.northernstar.com.au/news/first-look-tour-of-ballinas-first-brewery/3259303/

    Byron Bay Brewery

Prices are rising extremely rapidly in Ballina due to cashed up retirees moving up from Sydney and unscrupulous real estates. It's just a big retirement village now. Looking forward to the brewing opening, shame it's out at the airport to catch the Byron holiday makers...

    Byron Bay Brewery

Yep, our rents gone up twice since we moved in. Across the road are retired accountants from Sydney. Looked at a unit across the road last weekend (2 bedroom shoebox) and had to battle way in past a dozen investors - all willing to pay way more than us with the plan of renting it out at...

    Byron Bay Brewery

Ditto. Shame because geographically it's beautiful. Otherwise, it's a touristy rip off. Nearby Ballina brewery due to open soon, I'm keen to give that a go.

    Whats In The Glass

This beer with the LupulCitra is bloody smashable. Thankyou brewman deals

    2018 Hop Plantations

Under a protected cropping system (like they use for cucumbers etc.) many of the variables could be manipulated producing year round fresh hops if desired. Lots of crops going this way now to take advantage of seasonal gaps in the market, or to grow plants in areas outside their natural range...

Pirate Life sells to AB InBev

I stand corrected, with the current state of affairs - looks like people are turning to the grog.

Pirate Life sells to AB InBev

The big guys just want to protect profits in what is a dwindling market (people are drinking less beer due to nanny state restrictions). Turdwaffle is about to find out what happens when you try and fudge the system to benefit the big players (unless he stacks the royal commission - which is...

    Aldi specials

Edit: I see target has several models at varying prices. https://www.target.com.au/p/sodastream-play-sparkling-water-maker-white/58987971 I'm not sure if any of these are the same as the Aldi one.

    Aldi specials

For the Soda-stream carbonators, there is an Aldi special coming up ($49). https://www.aldi.com.au/en/special-buys/special-buys-wed-6-december/wednesday-detail-wk49/ps/p/sodastream-cool-machine-1/ I shall keep an eye out for the Aldi potable hose if it comes on special. Thanks for the tip S.E.
