Keg King ROBOBREW 35L SINGLE VESSEL BREWERY

I'm just about to pull the trigger on one of these. A brew shop near me has them in stock, and it seems like such a good deal. Any more feedback from people who have used them?

    Which BIAB Starter Kit?

I get what you're all saying, but I've been brewing extract at 23ltr batches for a few years now and just don't have the inclination (or the infrastructure) to do any larger batches, so I'm really leaning towards the Keg King Robo Brew at $449- If like you all suggest, I start wanting bigger...

    Which BIAB Starter Kit?

But what would I do with that additional 23ltrs? I only have 3 kegs and I'm not terribly keen to buy any more yet. And the reason I got into kegging was to avoid the pain of cleaning and storing bottles (there may or may not have been an incident involving a 4wd backing out of the garage and...

    Which BIAB Starter Kit?

This one actually looks pretty good. I might look into this further.

    Which BIAB Starter Kit?

Definitely not committed to gas. I actually had a look at the 36ltr temp controlled one for this reason: http://www.cheekypeakbrewery.com.au/index.php/everything-mashing/all-grain-starter-kits/product/1279-36ltr-all-grain-starter-kit-brew-in-a-bag-biab-electric-heated-temp-controlled The...

    Which BIAB Starter Kit?

Hi All I've been kit and extract brewing for a few years now and my current setup is as follows: Kit or Extract with flavouring hops added in a boil (sometimes will steep some grains beforehand) Fermenting Fridge with STC-1000 temp controller Keg Fridge using 19L cornelius kegs I'm looking to...

    Stone & Wood Pacific Ale

UPDATE. So after dry-hopping and cold crashing for a full week, the rubbery off taste was still present. I kegged it and gassed it up hoping that might make a difference to no avail. The S&W fruitiness is not there and it tastes like water out of a rubber tube. The only thing I can think of...

    Stone & Wood Pacific Ale

Straight out of the tap and used one of the empty extract tins to fill up the fermenter. I've had this rubbery flavour before when I've left a fermenter for too long in the garage, but this has been in a temp controlled fridge since day one. Will see how it goes after cold crash.

    Stone & Wood Pacific Ale

Hey All I threw this one down on Saturday 3rd January and started noticing some weird rubbery off tastes after a couple of days. I started thinking yeast autolysis, but kept it going and dry-hopped on Sunday 10th January with 15g of Galaxy. After reading up a bit about autolysis it seems it...

Haha, yeah there aren't too many series that funny and clever left anymore. I really should get back to writing my law blog now...

First pre-hopped extract - Advice sought

Sorry all, my terminology might be a little shady. A can of kit extract (ie Black Rock IPA) was used. Cheers

First pre-hopped extract - Advice sought

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I think it's just me. I actually just googled some images of krausen and mine looks pretty much like this: It's amazing what you didn't know was going on in there with the non-clear fermenter lid on. I do kind of miss the "bloop" of the airlock, but it's now...

First pre-hopped extract - Advice sought

Hi All After bottle brewing with just extract kits and dextrose for years, I have now moved to kegs with hops and grains added. I put my first one down on Sunday following the method below: * Grains cold steeped the night before * Strained and boiled for 15 minutes with hops added at flame...
