    Brewie - World's first fully automated home-brewery

Hmm, so it's self-cleaning too? Half of my brewing time is spent cleaning.

Yet another Arduino Based Brewing controller

Yeah, I'm hoping you'll work it out better than I did ;) Right now I'm making a mixer bar for the HLT.

Yet another Arduino Based Brewing controller

Is there a rough guide as to how far apart they should be Malt Junkie ? Mine ended up separated, but it just turned out that way, not by design. I guess you could wire it up with coax ;)

Yet another Arduino Based Brewing controller

It's trying to read the 3x sensors all the time, no matter what state it's in. So doing another operation wont "nudge" the sensors. Although it will only re-paint them if there's a change. I'm pretty sure #3 is a bug, I get it sometimes too. Probably there is a race-condition somewhere between...

My Gift to all Homebrewers: I created a fast and accurate brewing calc

    The AbV calculation differs from Beersmith Mobile 1.048 -> 1.010 => 5.0% AbV (Beersmith) 1.048 -> 1.010 => 6.2% AbV (thebrewlist.com)

Yet another Arduino Based Brewing controller

Looks great! Any time the kettle/HX isn't being fired it's because of 2 reasons: The set-temperature is set to zero (off), or is set to be less-than what the sensor is reading. There is a delayed-start set - but this should give an on-screen message on the first screen So that means something...

Newcastle Regional Show 2017 - Brewers Championship

I've attached an envelope with cash to one of my beers. I hope that's OK. If it goes missing, please contact me so I can direct transfer the fees or suchlike.

What caused you to change your job

Good luck Sp0rk, I always found it difficult to get a contract in Newcastle, it seemed like you had to have a mate at the company to get a look-in. I always ended up commuting to Sydney - hours on the train sucked, but the money was better. (Now I work from home)

Lamington Dessert Stout - Feedback sought

Perhaps use some coconut water / juice as part of your brewing liquid.

Lamington Dessert Stout - Feedback sought

The coconut was toasted in the oven, then it went straight into a hop-bag. It's too soon to tell if it infected the keg ;)

Lamington Dessert Stout - Feedback sought

I "dry nutted" a keg of porter with ~500g of toasted desiccated coconut, and after 4 days it's coconut city (pulled it out). Although some people in my family reckon the coconut aroma & flavour are not so bold. *shrug* Maybe it's one of those flavours some people are more attuned to than others.

Newcastle Regional Show 2017 - Brewers Championship

So if I rock up to Potters on the weekend with my box of bottles, I should just talk to the chaps behind the bar in the Brewery section ? Everything is going to be OK ... right? -kt

    Going All Grain

Brewman is of course excellent. There's also a new LHBS at Belmont, south-bound (east) side of the road, just south of bunnings et.al. Talked to the couple that ran the shop, it's well stocked, and they know what their talking about. Pretty sure they had Grainfathers in stock too. (as well as...
