Looks great. Is that an alien etched into the glass?

    Berliner Weisse

I'd leave it as is. Traditionally fruit syrup was added to the glass. If you want to experiment, maybe try adding a small amount of different syrups or purees to the glass and see which you really like. Take note of the amount you add to the glass so you can scale up. Then try that next batch.

    What are you Brewing 2016?

I used the Wyeast Brett Saison PC blend, been in the fermenter for nearly a month now, haven't checked it to see how it's going yet. My plan is pretty well the same as yours.

    What are you Brewing 2016?

First clean beers in a while, brewed Manticle's Dark Mild . Also brewed Fatz's Better Red than Dead and Smurto's Landlord recently which is fermenting away. Going to be mixed packs for family Chrissy presents. Have a Brett Porter and Brett saison nearly ready for bottling, although I'm going to...

    Homebrew talkback on ABC

The ABC app on the iPhone has live listening and I'm assuming the android version would as well. Or from the website: https://radio.abc.net.au/stations/local_hobart/live?play=true

I just use it as is, it's very set and forget. At the moment I just fill a jug repeatedly to add sparge water to the basket. I do plan eventually to make a stand of some sort to simply gravity feed it into the basket. That may require changing out the tap for a ball valve to control the flow...

NSW 2016 xmas case swap - tasting and recipes

Had number 12, it did say drink soon... This was another great beer, simple and a real quaffer on another hot day. Quite floral. Number 5 and 12 would be great as a side by side. Same hop and similar grain bills I'm guessing. Really shows off the differences between a lager yeast and an ale...

NSW 2016 xmas case swap - tasting and recipes

Cracked #5, citrus lager. This beer is stellar, didn't get citrus at all in flavour or aroma until about 2/3 through then all of a sudden the grapefruit zest exploded, maybe it needed to warm up for those flavours to come through? Even before then this beer was nice and spritsy and had a pilsner...

Thanks for hosting Barls, was a nice afternoon. The beers on tap were delicious and the food in the smoker and on the BBQ was great. Loved the bacon and the chicken wings.

Tried the new controller out yesterday on a batch of Better Red than Dead. It was great to transfer the beersmith recipe to the app and then have it run on the controller! Worked brilliantly, only had one issue, which I'm 90% sure is my iPhone 6s and not the controller. At the end of each stage...

    NSW xmas case swap

Okay lager is out. It tastes and smells great to me if a bit young. But the wife says it's smells and tastes a bit of rotten eggs! So I guess she is super sensitive to sulphur compounds and I'm not. I'll let it lager until Chrissy before we try it again then and it should have aged out. Funny...

    NSW xmas case swap

Tried my Gose tonight. It's a cheat Gose using acid malt, so Ian this isn't a real sour it's safe to drink. It's an easy drinker but a touch too much salt for me and I would much prefer a proper kettle sour version. But with the heat over the last few days it's gone down nice. I'll bring a few...
