FS: All my home brewing gear. (South Brisbane)

If interested in splitting, I'm keen on: - KK Element - KK Thermometer - Flask - Ball valve Also if you have any cooling gear (eg. immersion chiller).

Newbie from Brisbane - 10 brews in

Entirely depends on the style and personal preference. I love super juicy and dank IPA's which explains my somewhat excessive dry hop ratios ;) I do make a couple nice lighter blonde and pale ales that have about 40-60g in a 20L batch.

Newbie from Brisbane - 10 brews in

For what it's worth I didn't get the impact I was looking for until I hit 6g/L minimum on the dryhop (for Pale Ales). My most recent XPA (dubious classification aside) has 10g/L.

Newbie from Brisbane - 10 brews in

Sounds like you've got it all under control. FYI I'm regularly going from grain to glass in 2 weeks with anything under 1.055. On the occasions I've gone longer I've not found it to be beneficial whatsoever. Typical process is ferment 6-9 days, cold crash 2-3 days, force carb 2 days.

Merri Mashers Specialty IPA Comp 2016

If I can figure out how to bottle from the keg well enough I'll definitely be entering an IPA.

    SE QLD AHB Xmas-in-July 16/07/2016

Don't know any of you but this sounds like a ******* blast. Will check with a few mates I brew with to see if they're interested. We could bring a few kegs along (most likely some fruity-as-**** IPA and a Saison).

    Guide To Keg Forced Carbonation.

What adjustments should I make when force carbing a 9.5L keg (if any) ?

First AG BIAB Brew Day Results

I just pulled a pint to test how the carbonation was going (a week in the keg @ 12PSI) and I'm completely chuffed with the results! The FG was a few points higher than predicted but otherwise everything went pretty smoothly. Just over a month ago I started researching homebrewing, and as of...

Considering developing a homebrew recipe database...

I'm more thinking along the line of a recipe builder, somewhat similar to BeerSmith but without all the crazy calculations (ie. you need to input your OG/FG as it won't calculate automatically).

Considering developing a homebrew recipe database...

I've only very recently dived into the world of homebrewing and am very much enjoying my new hobby. As per the title I'm considering making an Australian based homebrew recipe database as a bit of a side project to help hone my web development skills as well as learning more about brewing. I...

First AG BIAB Brew Day Results

I've been able to hold fermentation temps fairly steady but still not optimal conditions. Good news is I managed to pick-up a free bar fridge, and have an STC-1000 on order that my sparky mate is going to wire up for me. This little hobby has gone from 0-100 pretty quickly  I added 20g of...

First AG BIAB Brew Day Results

Thanks guys, appreciate the responses. I have the FV submerged in some iced water in a soft standing cooler bag. I've chucked in a few frozen 600mL bottles of water throughout the day and getting a fairly steady 19-21C. I'm assuming fluctuations of a few degrees isn't too bad. It's been 24...

First AG BIAB Brew Day Results

Just finished putting down my first AG BIAB after spending about a month or so of reading into the topic and assembling my equipment. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it all went considering it was my first brew, but ran into a few issues that I wouldn't mind your comments on. Due to my...

A few small batch BIAB questions [first time brewer]

Pending fridge real estate cold crashing does seem like a good option. I'm mainly interested in brewing Pale Ale and IPA style beers, any tips for keg carbonation? Due to the relatively small size of the setup I'm probably looking at a modified Sodastream + regulator setup. Am I correct in...
