    Brewmate

Depending on your distro there are a couple of reasonably good Linux programs - Brewtarget being one that I use. It takes a bit of tweaking to get all your extras in, but once set up, it's pretty good. I know wort is on Android, but haven't bothered to see if there's been a port to .deb or .rpm.

Gratuitous bump for the evening crowd.

Saison dried yeast will help with the temperature issues until you get some temp control.

    Xmas in July Lotto

Nothing better than a couple of weeks of a steady flow of beer coming to your letterbox (or local post office). And it keeps the postie guessing as well.

Brisbane Craft Bottle Shops - the definitive list

Fixed it for you: Cellarbrations - Mitchelton (Blackwood Street) Cellarbrations - Bowen Hills Stafford Tavern Bottle Shop (unfortunately the Cellarbrations at Stafford/Everton Park is closed) Black Sheep - Alderley (really good) and Everton Hills (OK) Archive Beer Boutique Harry browns at...

Brisbane Craft Bottle Shops - the definitive list

I hope. Preamble - I didn't know about one until my ex-Dan Murphy's employee neighbour who rates Trolley Red Ale as the best craft beer in the universe told me that there was a craft bottle-o I didn't know of in the area. I found this disturbing, so thought I'd compile the definitive AHB list...

Mangrove Jacks M42 New World Strong Ale Yeast

I reckon Notto scrubs hops a little bit more, and M42 has way bigger krausen. And Notto does the faux-lager thing brilliantly at 14 degrees, not sure M42 works down that low, having never tried it.

    Sodastream getting into "home brewing"

My kids asked if "so and so" brewed, because he rang me for advice. I said "no, he rehydrates".

    Fruit Beer

I had a Tangelo Gose from Holgate a couple of times recently. Awesome beer. Not always (Kreik Lambics aside) a massive fan of fruit beers but this one rocked my socks off.

    Ebay, Gumtree and FB Marketplace

I now no longer know what to do to myself. Something about oats, wild or otherwise.

    Do you use a VPN?

Thanks mate, probably do a UK server to watch bbc on the down days, more just for social media and accessing google to be able to map, search that sort of thing. Wondering if it got past the great firewall. I'll stick with expressvpn, they've been able to consistently do the job according to...

    Do you use a VPN?

Does it do China, MB? Going there next week and that's cheaper than expressvpn.

Mangrove Jacks M42 New World Strong Ale Yeast

Great yeast. I tend to use it in AIPA and XPA - great neutral yeast and powers through wort. Big krausen and gets it over with quickly.

    Funky Cider - WLP616

Have 20L of Aldi cider on this at the moment. The starter (I split the vial) smelled awesome. Not as funky and sour as I thought, but very nice and seems to retain the aroma (even thought it's only Aldi juice). I have high hopes.

I'd love to see the results of this. I have researched using plain wheat flour, to see if a wit could be made with it, but struggled to find out anything, let alone a consensus.
