    Recommended stir plate for starters

I'm not a huge DIYer but I managed it. Computer fan and adapter from ebay, a few screws and one of SWMBO accidentally busted large containers. Plus some magnets. The magnets are the hardest bit but once you get them right it's all good. Just don't order ebay stuff from non-Australian...

BNE: Free: Test Tubes (new), Bottles, other stuff

I've been the recipient of kindness here and giving my excess away to help other brewers over the years is my way of contributing to the community and the craft. No probs mate, shoot us a text or Pm.

BNE: Free: Test Tubes (new), Bottles, other stuff

You should be assuming correctly (hopefully ) The vials are all around 3-9 months old. So they should be fine to go. I haven't had any issues so far with the ones I've resurrected. Always good to make a starter either way, which is what I've been doing.

So plumbing bits, ITC 1000, fridge, fermenter, esky and cubes are spoken for (the former 2 waiting on PM back). That leaves lots of yeast, a buttload of empty vials (brand new), bottles and big w pots to be rehoused.

BNE: Free: Test Tubes (new), Bottles, other stuff

We are moving house and Mrs Goomba has kindly requested that all non-essential, non-core brewing paraphernalia be vacated from the various places in that big room that the car lives in. So I thought I'd chuck it all up here for free. It's not anything major, but you might be a brewer starting...

BIAB Witbier / Blanche / Belgian wheat beer

I didn't get any Spanish women when I hit the link. Might be an issue with my interpretation but I only saw some Sevilla buildings. Still beautiful, but not what I was expecting.

    Shanghai Craft (and regular) Beer

Thanks Stouter. We haven't had Ajisen in Brisbane for a few years and I remember the broth there being far better than what I got in Shanghai. Might be "good old days" thinking or not. There's a ramen shop in the CBD in BNE that does an awesome one and is significantly better than what I had...

    Shanghai Craft (and regular) Beer

So we hopped on a plane with a handful of children to Shanghai for 3 weeks. It wasn't a beer trip, but we kinda did some beer related stuff because we could. So I thought I'd give a quick few photos and thoughts about my (beer) time in Shanghai: Craft beer scene in Shanghai is significantly...
