    Are these the same?

Honestly, if you're new to the game, I'd tell you to make the beer the way they recommend (with 1.5kg dry malt). Once you've made a few brews you can start to mess around with ingredients. At the point I'm at, I'd try and split the can in two and make one half the way they expect and the other...

Is it possible to get some type of beer swap happening

that would be a massibe liability issue for lhbs if you got sick drinking some random beer

Forum needs to be active so let's talk political.

A federal ICAC is an amazing idea, they stop so much corruption at the state level. It has been so long I can't even remember the last time a nsw state leader kept saying I can't remember to every question they were asked, I'm pretty sure she answered that even when they asked her what her name...

    Here we go AGAIN!!!

That raises a good question, if he's doing all this work and the forum has sponsors and supporting members, why don't they chuck him a few bucks every now and then? Or some free gear from a sponsor or something.

    brewdog doco

it's funny, since they came to brisbane, I've rarely seen there beer anywhere, even the import stuff. They seemed to virtually disappear overnihgt. The only reason I know they still exist is they come up in my facebook ads trying to sell to me directly. Does anyone know if they stopped importing...

    Coopers Lager overcooked the baby.

I didn't check the use by dates when I brewed them,so it's possible the coopers one was old. It's also possible the coopers would have gotten better with more time in the bottle, but what I was looking for was a simple beer to smash out to just drink

    Coopers Lager overcooked the baby.

I did a side by side batch of Coopers draught and woolies draught. I expected to like the Coopers one more, but couldn't get into it. the woolies one on the other hand was smooth and easy to drink. Probably my best beer in the 10 or so batches I've done so far. Wish I still had some left. I'll...

Ex commercial kegs - Any ideas?

I went to a brewery where they'd converted a carlton united keg into a urinal, so as you used it, it was like refilling it with carlton draught

Mod meltdown 2 here we go again

once again, the moderation seems to stink of covering up for these companies. that may not be what you're doing, but that can be the only conclusion someone would draw if they don't know anything about what's going on and you actively supress discussion. someone should tell the forum sponsors...

Australia's smallest commercial brewery (44L batch size)

I assume he was talking about himself, although being smaller than 44L would mean you only had one fermenter. I have about 60L of brewing capacity myself, but I'm just outside of Artarmon.

    KegLand Stock?

wow, after witnessing how this thread evolved, I can see why this place is dead. also, the way this has been moderated has had more of an impact on me ever doing business with kegland than the posts that were removed.

AHB, The Home brew Forum UK, Homebrew Talk.

I've gotta say, being fairly new to the home brew game, I came here wanting to see some home brew discussion in measurements that actually made sense (wtf is a gallon) but I'm doing most of my beer discussion elsewhere. The main reason I pop back in here from time to time is hoping that someone...
