Hey guys i am brewing my coopers pale ale kit been in the fermenter 6 days now and is pretty chunky.. i know pale ale is generally chunky but i filled my hydrometer tube up 2 times now and it has quite a few chunks.. mostly from the hops i threw in.. question is do i have to strain it before...

well i did a bleach rince then a few hot water rinses and then 2 boiling water ones works a treat im not leaving the fermenter laying around.. i waited for it to dry then started on another brew.. which is bubbling away like mad at the moment!

nah mate i only use brand new sponges for wiping the fermenter.. then i chuck em.. or use them to clean the floor.. will look for something different to clean the fermenter out with tho.. as for temperature i have it on the kitchen bench about 4 metres from the heater so i can keep the brew at...

ok im a little worried as it still smells like bleach and i have rinsed it about 4 time.. 3 time with hot tap water once with boiling water should i make a brew or wait an sterolize it with something else?

ok guys i just got to sanitizing my kit.. already washed it with boiling water after i bottled.. now i have done the coopers kit way by putting half a cup of bleach (white king regular) and filled up put all my other gear into it aswell. how do other people do theirs i hope i used the right...

Hey guys just bottled my first brew! was a draught tasted good out of the fermenter but its flat.. im guessing because it wasnt carbonated? going to get started on my pale ale tonight bought some us-05 yeast and also some hops to add in with it! hope it goes good Cheers, Dion.

hey mate i bought 3 cans when i got my kit so i am doing a pale ale next then the larger with honey in it, i am trying to keep my temps to about 22 degrees C because thats what i started on i read that the larger can goto 10 - 12C which will be easy to keep where i am.. i might see if i can keep...

thanks guys, im brewing a draught from the coopers kit.. (my first one) didnt take a reading when i first did it because i didnt know i had too.. have just read that now.. will do next time tho.. i will wait till tomorrow any way before i bottle Cheers, Dion.
