    Co2 Cylinders - Sydney

Spoke to the local gas supplier this morning....as it currently stands (4 units) he will do gas & cylinder for $200. I don't think we can get better than that unless we do 10+ units. He indicated that he usually fills any privately owned gas cylinder as long as it is in date and legit. He said...

    Co2 Cylinders - Sydney

We have 4 so far (price dependant)...I will give him a ring tomorrow to see what he can do for 4....he sort of indicated $200 but he didn't mention if that included gas. When i spoke to him yesterday he indicated that if we could get 10 (he only has 8 at his factory) then he would get me to...

    Co2 Cylinders - Sydney

I will check with him tomorrow about his policies on refills....other gas only sellers (apart from BOC) should have similar policies. This guy is in the business of selling gas....not CO2 cylinders....you just need to find a local gas supplier other than BOC. BTW: I only met this guy on Monday...

    Co2 Cylinders - Sydney

I'm not sure of BOC's policies...it might help if you check with your local BOC. The guy has indicated that these cylinders are legitamely stamped and tested.

    Co2 Cylinders - Sydney

Hi All, I have found a guy who has access to CO2 cylinders for sale and he has indicated that for a bulk cash sale he would be able to offer a big discount....he hasn't yet let me know the exact $$$ as its probably dependant on the numbers. If we can get the numbers I'm sure we could probably...

Thanks yardy and jakechan (and others)....me thinks i will go down the welding path as I've always wanted to learn to weld...did a bit of arc welding at high school 20 years ago....thought it was pretty cool. Whats the best entry level equipment CIG/MIG/Arc or are they all of the same?

Weldless Steel Brew Frame...is It Possible?

Cheers to all for the quick replies...plenty of good suggestions there. Any chance of a rough guesstimate in cost and comparison between a welded/dexion/other...I am planning to go with a level brew rig (0.5 m D x 1.5m L x 0.5m H) with march pump.

Weldless Steel Brew Frame...is It Possible?

Hi All, I currently use a timber gravity fed brew frame but its now beginning to show it age...and I'm starting to get an itch for something bigger and better...its a curse that I'm sure we all share. I was wondering if its possible to construct a metal framed brew rig without having to weld...

120l Kettle - It Just Wont Boil

This was just another test run...no wort...just water. Im pretty happy with the boil with the lid 3/4 on...good rolling boil...even though it was just water. Is there any requirements involving the vent size?

120l Kettle - It Just Wont Boil

Added insulation to sides of kettle and a lid (kitchen bench offcut) and now get from 20 degrees to boil in 75 minutes. With the lid off it only just manages to keep a slow boil....with the lid covering 3/4 of the kettle I get a vigourous boil. Is it OK to keep the lid covering 3/4 of the...

    Shelf Life Of A Keg

Exit mould works a treat....make sure you use it when you have finished fermenting. The mould should have no effect as long as its not in the fermenter...I once had to throw out the tap because it had worked its way up into the tap.

120l Kettle - It Just Wont Boil

Thanks for the replies guys. Enoch, the 2 elements are still OK...Just did a 45L batch in the keggle yesterday. I'm hoping the no boil issue will be solved when i put some insulation around the pot. Are you using any insulation?

120l Kettle - It Just Wont Boil

I just scored a second hand 120L stainless steel pot for $50 buck off ebay... :D The plan is to replace my keggle so I can do full size double batches. I gave it a test run...60Litres of water...2 x 2400W immersion heaters (over the side pail type)...and after 1.5 hours it could only get to 99...
