How much beer do you drink?

Around 3 a day normally, some days I won't drink other days I will have 7 or 8 though. Averaged over a week maybe 4 or 5 sixpacks.... certainly a lot more than the pre brewing days.

I gave the roaches a good blast of mortein, thought it would do it....

    Infection Photo Thread

Just bottled my current brew then noticed this, normal or infection? looks awefully bacterial to me. Smelled ok, didn't bother tasting any though.

    Newbie - Dunkelweizen kit question

Ianh's kit extract spreadsheet says it should be around 1.044 sg if made to 29 litres, High 4 percents depending on your attenuation.

    Newbie - Dunkelweizen kit question

Should be fine, just don't let the dextrose police catch you. I would wait for the krausen to start to die down if you have a good head on it already, if it's still building steam then you could probably just add it now. Boil it up in a little water to disolve it, wait for it to cool down to...

    Newbie - Dunkelweizen kit question

My bet would also be that your tin syrup was hanging around the bottom. Just bang in additional fermentables now, another kg should get it back to full strength.

    Coopers Craft Brew

Interesting, so they are fully concentrated wort that doesn't require additional sugars to brew and pitched at around the price point of buying fresh wort kits. Think I will give them a pass, though I wouldnt mind a couple of small 15 litre fermenters so I can split batches and hop the base brew...

    Coopers Craft Brew

Anyone know anything about these new coopers "craft brew" kits? for 8.5 litres they seem pretty damn expensive

    Dry Hopping Technique

I always just drop my pellets in and don't worry about any bags or the like

    Would you ferment in this?

If it's food quality I don't see why you couldn't. That's a hell lot of beer though.

    Is this over the top?

I think it will be fine and tasty, I think the best thing about the blonde kit is that it has very little flavour, allows whatever you add to shine through.

    Nottingham yeast pitching temp

I have been pitching my Notto between 18 and 22 then dropping to 16, you won't have killed your yeast at that temp and honestly it will probably be fine. Some one might be able to tell you from experience if you may get some funky tastes coming through, I would doubt it though assuming you still...

    IPA

Nice looking recipe, might have to pick up some simcoe and centrnnial to give it a go. Oh, and grab the malts as well given the only stuff I have left is chocolate malt.

    IPA

Mostly as i have it, don't have time to go for a drive to pick up more light dry malt and don't want down time on my fermenter.

    IPA

It would be coopers liquid malt and yeah, I believe their wheat is a mix though I don't know the ratio. I was actually going to go for an english hopped IPA, probably challanger and EKG and since I have nottingham in the bucket at the moment I would just roll that over for another batch. I was...

    IPA

Anybody ever tried making an IPA with equal parts liquid light malt and wheat malt?

Their unhopped wheat extract is particularly great value for money, couldn't resist picking up a couple of them as well in my order
