    Stockpots Where Art Thee?

If you want a cheap pot or the budget is tight, large aluminim pots can be found in most asian varity stores. I'm in Melbourne & found my stainless steel pot in Footscray, but have also seen examples in Brunswick & Richmond. No doubt Springvale would be a good hunting ground too.

Eco Kegs Soon To Be Available To Hbrs

You could also tap the outer shell & circulate chilled water/glycol around the bladder for serving &/or fermenting. I like the look of these kegs, especially in the 30 litre size. They would suit my brew size well. It's only the start up price thats putting me off.

    Water Jerry Cans As Fermenters?

Re: Cube cleaning, I have a suspect cube at the moment. I can see a couple of black spots that haven't been removed by soaking in Napisan. Anyone got any other ideas?

They feel fairly thick. Thicker than the CUB 800ml types. I can drop you a sample if you like.

Melbourne - Cheap Crown Seal Bottles

They are marked as "65cl" so I guess 650ml. They do look bigger & I first thought they were at least 750ml.

Melbourne - Cheap Crown Seal Bottles

I have a large number of crown seal bottles availble for Melbourne homebrewers. A family member has the task of cleaning out a store room. There are two pallets of impoted beer, well out of date. The beer might not poison you but I wouldn't drink it. I'll swap either one bottle of your best...

Vic Xmas In July Case Swap 2007

Thats what I thought. Everyone said "APA" then went off & thought of something else. I'll go with the Pale Ale that's fermenting now & keep the Stout for winter. :)

Building A Sight Gauge Or Sight Glass

Its the extra 10 to 15 litres more than a keg shaped HTL I'm after. I could have any number of 50 litre 'vessels' some legal, most not & there are a few 100 - 220 HDPE drums around but bugger all 60 - 70 litre ones. If I'm spending the time building a new HLT, I want it big enough to grow into.

Vic Xmas In July Case Swap 2007

I'm glad this swap has sparked off again. Either glass or PET is fine with me. It's great to get crownseal longies in a swap but not everyone has them. I think the Coopers PET could be used as a new swap standard? Only thing I would add to the 'rules' is labels. Could everyone please label...

New Hlt - Ss, Alum Or Hdpe

The stirrer motor is from a microwave oven, the carrousel motor. I plan to wire it in parallel to the element. So whatever controls the element will also power the stirrer. :) Mounted on the lid with a shaft & paddle down to just above the element.
