    Worst Comerical Beer You Had

LCPA is without a doubt the worst beer I have paid money for. I am not a big lover of hops at the best of times but this is over hopped to the point of me on the verge of throwing 5 bottles in the bin. :excl: This is for me the most overhyped beer I have ever drunk.

Best Album Purchased This Year 2005

X and Y by Coldplay is a good album bought this year but the number one is probably back to bedlam by James Blunt. :beerbang:

    QLD AHB Xmas Case 2005

I would still like to be involved in the Xmas case but had a little drama this afternoon while sorting out the bottles...To cut a long story short I managed to drop and smash several of the bottles I had brewed for the case and am now left with only 28 800ml bottles  I have put a lot of...

    Emergency Blowoff Help Needed

:beerbang: I thought I had logged on to the wrong type of chat room when I looked at the title of this thread. :P I have had to resort to emergency counter measures myself and have used siphon hose with no problems, just push it through the grommit and trail it down in to a vessel of water...

    QLD AHB Xmas Case 2005

Nice to see this thread popping up again. Everytime I go under the house now I see the bottles ready for the Xmas case swap and it fills me with dread because these are only my second AG and I only made enough for the case so I have not even tested them. You are my guinea pigs :super...

How Do You Finish A Session?

Most of my sessions start well planned and become more predictable as they go on, the drunker I get the more I drink and the session usually ends with me face down in a pool of my own vomit swearing I am not going to drink that much again, then I do it all again the next time. :beerbang: It's...

Ebay Forum / Grolsche Bottles In Qld

Yupp, probably a good isea this, only problem I could see is that we would all be bidding against each other with the extra exposure. When I bid on something on Ebay the last thing I want is for several other brewers to get a link off here, I want to keep those bargains all for myself. :super...

    Co2 Cylinder Options

I am liking the sound of Air-up http://www.air-up.com.au/home_brew.html as they have a seller and filler local to me I would own the cylinder and top ups are $20. 2.3kg worth of co2 would last me quite a while as I would not be a high user as mostly I only have friends round now and again. I...

    Co2 Cylinder Options

I have just purchased a shiny new kegging setup which is my wifes Xmas present to me :super: Now I need to know a few things. Basically the system I have bought is a complete start up job which includes all I need to get going (I think) apart from a fridge and CO2. What I have bought is the...

    $11 Sodastream Cylinders

Having just purchased a kegging setup I will be trying my luck with the Kmart bottle scam. My tactic will be to look for the spottiest, youngest, geeky looking kid and hope for the best.

    Kegging V Bottling

Thanks for the advice. I will check with the local HBS to see what they can offer price wise but I don't think they will beat the online prices due to overheads etc. I know we should all support the local guy which is fine when the difference in price may be a few dollars on a tin of extract or...

    Kegging V Bottling

I have been looking around the web for a good deal on a start up kegging kit and the best price I have found is around the $440 mark with delivery, is this a good deal for a start up kit? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I would be prepared to pay this just to never...

    Bottling After Cold Conditioning.

I was worried that bottling at 1 or 2C would be too cold and all the yeast would be sitting on the bottom of the secondary cube and not make it in to the bottling bucket and then in to the bottle to eat that sugar. I don't want to mess this brew up as it won't be drunk by me but by...

    Bottling After Cold Conditioning.

I brewed a stout 3 weeks ago, it was my second ag and my xmas case contribution. it spent 2 weeks in primary before I racked to secondary where it has now been for a week. I am thinking of bottling it this sunday as I have a free slot (Pretty rare at the moment as we are in the middle of...

    Stout Recipe.

After two weeks in primary I racked to cube today for a secondary ferment. Couple of questions, what temp should I aim for during this stage and for how long before bottling bearing in mind this will be my Xmas case contribution? It tastes OK after sampling and was 1008 on the hydrometer...
