    Crown Seals...

    Hmmmm, really? perhaps the thicker ones are too tight... haha Thanks for the useful input Batz, but as i said in the thread. I used the same bottle, same capper but different seal and it made a nice tight seal... but unfortunately i cannot get any more of those crown seals... I got that one...

    Yes, someone was telling me that. "even is that say that is a lager yeast, it is an ale yeast" I was thinking that i might give it a swirl, and wrap a cool wet towel around it to try to keep that temp down... but from what i have said, would you say that that there is still a good chance...

    Hmmmm i did ferment a little high, at about 27... again, the kit said between 18 and 28.. wish i had known better.. yes i did use kit yeast, and it was a 22L Batch.

    I don't know the OG, i never took a reading... Dam instructions never told me to take one... It was just the Tooheys Special Lager, with liquid sugar... it all came together in a kit..

    Hi all, I am 5th day of my first brew. SG seems to have stopped at 1018 for 2 days now. The instructions that came with the kit said that using liquid sugar i should get down to about 1013. But fermentation seems to have stopped. Is this ok? If so, what would be an acceptable SG to start...

    Airlock Stop Bubbling

    Thanks for the reply. Ok well i realised after that i was fermenting a little high, between 26-28d. But i have been told that if it isn't over 30d well 33d it wont kill the yeast. I tired to cool it down with by wrapping wet towel around it. Didn't have much success, but it didn't rise over...
