I used to rack to a secondary fermenter...I thought it was one of the major steps to improving my beer. I then experimented with 2 brews...one I moved to a secondary, the other I simply left in the primary for an extra week. Based on that, I now leave it in the primary for minimum 2 (often 3)...

I doubt it's any help...but the first looks like my Chinook. My chinook also grew like crazy compared to my POR and Tettnang.

I know nothing about whirlpooling...but wouldn't you do it anti-clockwise in Australia?

My Chinook went crazy...two rhizomes turned into about 4kgs of wet cones...have so far dried, ziplocked and frozen 300g. I need some kind of vacuum sealer. My POR produced much less...guessing about 150g dry (still drying), and Tettnang negligable, and what cones were produced got distroyed...

Mine are going crazy too...they have all hit 4.5m and I have lowered them...sort of a pully system...one of them (Chinook...pretty sure anyway, a little bit of uncertainty between Chinook and Tettnang...it seems permanent marker on plastic is not UV stabilised :D ) is going bananas. Actually...

Hey guys...if anyone is interested, these items are temporarily up for grabs again. I have paid Bigbird the cash...and he is currently kindly storing them but it's looking like getting them delivered to Albury will cost $65. I'm not keen on that...you probably wouldn't be either :D My plan...
