    Fermenting down to business.

I leave my Ales a minimum of 2 weeks in the FV with stable temp control -18 degrees I usually bump the temp up >20 for a couple of days prior to bottling also I don't bother with any of the other stuff and I'm completely happy with my beers , Cheers Stu

    Very slow dripping tap

Is it dripping from the tap outlet or around the tread ? I would definitely be looking at a new one once this brew is done considering they only cost a few dollars . May also pay to pull the tap apart once you have the FV empty to see if theres any crap stuck in it , Cheers Stu

Coopers Sparkling Ale - brewing temp 14 degrees, is that a problem

Hi Trusty , Try and keep it at around 18 if possible. Maybe wrap a blanket around it till it raises. A fridge with temp controller is your best friend , Cheers Stu

Hi fellas , Curious on how long these fantastic little devices last. I have one that was made by Keg King and it's been running non stop now for about 6 months. So how long have the more experienced brewers on here been getting out of them ? Do they show any signs they are...

    Rotten egg smell

Thanks guys , this has put my mind at ease a bit more now Apoligies too , it was S-04 used in this brew. The stench has now backed off a bit so time will tell i guess. My main concern came from the fact that similar brews in the fridge have smelt fantastic while fermenting My smells got...

Hi fellas Put down a brewers selection fresh wort kit last Saturday , US04 yeast and in fridge at 18 degrees. Fermentation started about 12 hous later and bubbled away nicely . When I came home yesterday I noted a pretty strong rotten egg smell in the garage and when I opened the...

Bottling and storage - cold garage

They will carb up but it will take a lot longer , depends if you can wait or not. Do you have a temp controlled fermenting fridge ? If so , put a few in there if you are doing ales between 18 -22 degrees and they will carb up nicely If you have good heating inside the house which I suspect you...

    Newbie sort of

Hi Ghizo , welcome to the forum I would more then likely say that the yeast supplied with your kit isn't a true Lager yeast , therefore I would try and keep your fermenting temperature around 18 - 20 degrees. I am not completely sure of this however so some of the more experienced brewers on...
