For what's worth I found steeping some crystal and fermenting us05 at 18 to 20 made my brews go from home brew twang to better than Sunday morning dumplings

Just drinking some American pale ale pouch from the keg that I added some Dex to and I must say it's fantastic. If you have tried James squires hop thief and liked it you will like this. Next time I might try it with be2 instead of Dex but it's a great Amber hoppy ale.

Quick question for you all. What are your thoughts on Say after 7 days of fermentation at 18 degrees in a temp controlled fridge you took your fv out and left it in your cupboard for 7 days to finish ferment at about 24 degrees. This is an ale with us05 yeast. I need my fridge back.

I don't know what went wrong but this shit is nasty. I'm thinking it may have got an infection it tastes that bad. Smells like punch and is tart. I used us05 so it's not the yeast. This was the most expensive brew I've made so very disappointed. A noob question.... I used 200g cracked crystal...

Ok so been drinking this for a couple weeks now and it has gotten better. I think I will do it again but with be2 and the pale ale can.

Put this down today. Bootmakers can 500g ldm 500g wheat malt 200g crystal grain steeped 10g Ella, 10g mosaic, 10g cascade. All at 1min. Us05 pitched at 18. Have fermenter set at 17. Hope it's delicious. Will let you know in 2 weeks. [emoji482]

Was wondering about the yeast. Us05 is the bomb but wasn't sure weather the can yeast would be worth a try with this one.

Has anyone used the boot makers can? I have searched but can't find anything much on it. I grabbed a can and was wondering what hops or fermentables others have used if any. Was thinking 200g crystal, 1kg ldm and Galaxy/mosaic. Any input appreciated especially how the can is only $3 dearer...
