Big fan of the sunshine coast brewery rye esb, so I want to try my hand at something that has a slight warm spicy rye taste and is smooth at the same time. If anyone has a good recipe please share.

75% gladfields ale malt

Cheers for the very detailed response mate. I might purchase some for my HLT as I just put an order in for a more expensive one from Melbourne for the kettle, which is 3600w and has a 15amp I bought to attach.
La Sirene released their recipe and I brewed it and it was fantastic!
It was in the beer & brewer mag about 2 issues back
Only had pilsner, munich, wheat and hallertauer I think
Cheers for the ideas. I did a very similar recipe as the one you posted pratty except with 2-row at 4.5kg. It was fantastic and all due to the hop combo, and to bring down the abv and malt flavour switching it out with pils would probably go down extremely well with non craft beer drinkers while...

Ridiculously cheap heating element from China. Any thoughts on getting some of these?
I recently made a pale, brown, and coffee stout and I have the following ingredients. I was planning a golden ale or kolsch though I used up my magnum and mt hood hops. Trying to think of something easy going and a session beer for my workmates who are not too familiar with craft beer. Maybe a...
cheers for that. Yeah I saw it mentioned it is toned down compared to MO and that is why I thought it would be a better substitute for a blonde. I like the sound it will be like a pilsner malt with added flavour.
