    Burner Output And Regulators

hi, my understanding with regulators is that you'll be able to do double batches with a medium pressure regulator easy. like the one craftbrewer/grain and grape and others sells. The burner that you use should have enough outlets to cater for that pressure.. if it doesn't, you should get one...

    Kegerator Series 3

Hi tonesbrew, I think this is a big issue with these kegerators. Could you give a detailed description of how you took the frame out to remove the probe etc? I'd like to do the same and your guidance would save myself (and others) a lot of time messing about. thanks, desmo

    Diy Counter Flow Chiller

Thanks Paul, I'll give the garden hose a go. I had a look at Bunnings a week ago and the smallest copper pipes i saw were 1/2" (12mm) OD types where they sell in 18M rolls. It's possible that it's ID is 10mm i don't know. Maybe we're talking about the same ones.? Anyone want to go half on an...

    Diy Counter Flow Chiller

Thanks for the input Wolfy. i wasn't sure if the garden hose would last because of the heat of the wort/water involved. I'm still a bit unconvinced that it'll last that long but don't mind being proved wrong. it'll be the cheapest option i think. Does anyone have one made from normal garden...

    Diy Counter Flow Chiller

Hi, i'd like to make my own CFC and but i'm not sure what type of hose i can get away with that'll last a long time. What's a good hose to use that's not gonna burn my pocket too much? i'll use 12mm (1/2") inner tube so i'll need maybe a 19mm (3/4") ID hose (is that alright?). Would your...

    Thermowell

Hi, i'm thinking of welding a thermowell to my keggle but all the ones i've seen sold are weldless types. I know there are welded types out there but for some reason the homebrew stores don't seem to have them. I rather not weld the weldless types and have the threaded part on the inside of the...

    Ahb Articles: Kegerator

i've got a keg king kegerator. If i were to get another, i would make one from an old freezer. It'll be cheaper and better. The KK kegerator only ever goes down to about 8 deg C even though you set it to 0C. I'm thinking of putting a fan in there to circulate the air a bit more and see how that...

    Best Kegs For The Kegerator

+1 on the pull relief valves. on a side note, does anyone lubricate the rubber o-rings on the lids and ball valves? i saw somewhere that they sell silicon grease for the purpose but no one's told me to do it before.
