RPR (Red Point Red) Australian Red Ale

I hope so. I made a Dr. Smurto's English IPA using WLP005 recently. Two thumbs up. I will let you know how the red goes with it. Do you think I should drop the xtal a bit if I change the yeast? Yeah, the carared is for the biscuity flavour I wanted in there, the colour is from the caraaroma. I...

RPR (Red Point Red) Australian Red Ale

A couple of pics of my latest version. Original version grain bill but added more Vic Secret to the dry hop as well. Truly a magic beer. Going to try with WLP005 next. Hopefully turns out great :)

RPR (Red Point Red) Australian Red Ale

I kept forgetting to take a photo. I have one fermenting now I'll put one of it up soon! The last one I changed the grain bill slightly and increased IBUs slightly: Recipe: Nail Red Ale #2 (Veloria Malt) TYPE: All Grain Style: American-Style Amber/Red Ale ---RECIPE...

Using the amount of hops balanced it out nicely, and Us05 yeast attenuated well allowing for the hops to come through. I can't recommend trying this beer enough.

Rolling boil, temp gauge only reading 97.5deg?

Hi guys, thanks for all the help. We are <50m above sea level, so doubt that's the issue. I have just assumed my old man calibrated it as he tested it out with just water, but he now can't remember if it reached 100deg or not. Hehe. That said, we have also used a temp logger and a normal...

Rolling boil, temp gauge only reading 97.5deg?

I have recently started AG BIAB, and when I get the wort to a rolling boil the temperature is reading only 97.5 deg.. Should this be something to worry about? Or might it be that the thermowell is towards the outside of the urn? It is a buffalo 40L urn with a brauduino controller... Thanks!
