    Borja Amber Ale

Hello fellow homebrewers. I'm bored and figured I'd post up a recipe that I just made tonight. I call it Borja Amber Ale, and I plan on tweaking different ingredients after I'm able to drink it and make it again, in order to form it into a decent brew. So anyway, here's what I did: (2) Munton's...

    Coopers Ipa Suggestions

I did the Cooper's IPA kit just recently, turned out amazing imo. I used the tin with 1kg ldme, 500g dextrose, and 11.5g packet of us-05 safale yeast. It was plenty well hopped for my liking. Cheers!

Cooper's Irish Stout, My First Try

Thanks for the input guys. I would expect it to just take a little longer to finish fermenting at lower temps, which is no big deal. I plan on holding it in the fermenter for two weeks, then in bottle for at least a couple more weeks. I usually only use the secondary carboy to let it clear if...

Cooper's Irish Stout, My First Try

Yea I figured it'll probably turn out more like 1.014 to 1.016, not that it's a bad thing. I noticed on the yeast packet it has a temp range of 59-75 degrees, and the brew closet is usually at 70 degrees F. I do have control over the temp and will probably adjust it. Thanks for the advice...

Cooper's Irish Stout, My First Try

So I just started a batch of Irish Stout the other night, :icon_cheers: recipe as follows: 1.75kg can Cooper's Irish Stout 1kg light DME 1oz (28g?) Willamette Hops 11.5g packet S-04 Safale yeast I boiled the DME in about 2 gallons of water, boiled approx 18g (2/3rd of the oz packet) of the...

    Sugar

It's just easier to blame sucrose for cidery flavors, rather than to gain better control over all other variables. It is hard to screw up a brew that contains all top shelf ingredients, but I have used sugar, and given the right conditions, has worked out fine for me in the past. My only cidery...

    Bottles Bottles Bottles

Hello all, just figured I'd start a new casual topic. I wanted to share my bottling techniques using 40oz bottles. I found it was cheap and easy to assemble a batch of brown, glass, 40oz malt liquor bottles with screw top caps. They have so far proven to be excellent for bottling homebrew, and I...

    My Experience So Far

Nice post. I'm in somewhat the same boat, getting started this year with a few batches of extract brewing. I am already a big fan of the Coopers extracts that I've tried so far. I'm planning on doing a batch of the Coopers International English Bitter. I think I'm really going to like this one -...
