    500L Brite Tank

Hey guys, looking around for a 500L Brite Tank and am having trouble sourcing something within Australia (new or second hand). Happy to use a Fermenter as a Brite tank. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be appreciated. If there are commercial sellers on here that see...

Article: Do home brewers brew in similar ways to the commercials?

As far as I am aware there is no commercial hopback to buy, it has to be purpose built. So not surprising.

I completely agree with the article. As a "homebrewer" turned professional, it's completely different. I wouldn't go back to homebrewing.

    Feral Hop Hog gone bad

There are three of us.... Whomever told you this is wrong. Just to clarify with people, there has been no recipe change or difference at all in how we brew or our standards in quality. Every batch is checked literally minutes before we keg/bottle the beer and is consumed regularly afterwards by...

    Feral Hop Hog gone bad

There is still Golden Ace sitting in First Choice? We haven't bottled that since... August? :/ Old label was last packed in November. All cases have a best before which is a year after bottle-on date (Woolies requires 12 month BB).

    new hop hog

No recipe change. The beers get checked before packaging so over-carbonation must be coming somewhere along the distribution line (excessive heat). They get refrigerated from brewery to destination. Can't really control what shops do with things.

I want to work in a brewery

Homebrewing and brewing in a brewery are absolutely nothing alike. All I do all day is play with boiling water, haul arse 3 tonnes of grain, and shovel out the lauter tun. It's amazing.

I want to work in a brewery

I shovel out the lauter tun twice a day when we brew and still love it! I haven't done it in summer yet, so this may change.

Yeah I have to do the General Certificate in Brewing through that course. So much reading!

I would expect breweries that bottle need help on the bottling line which is a quick entry into the brewery and you can possibly progress from there if the brewer is interested in training someone up. Toper, I must be the only lucky one than. Being trained from scratch as a brewer ;)
