Toluene is also one of the more nasty chemicals, its is very carcinogenic I've always found dishwasher powder and boiling water a good way to get label off cleanly, even chapagne bottle labels.

Autolytic smells are almost "bready" or like vegemite. In Champagne's it is sometime encouraged to get to autolysis, it can actually enchance the flavour.

From memory you need to use the coat hanger wire to push a snap clip in, ie form the coat hanger into to "U" shapes, push em both in , you should hit some resistance, and it should then pop out. I would have thought the speakers would work OK , if you just use the other wires already plugged...
