Thanks once again for all the info. I am using 5mm line I didnt shake the crap out of the keg when I filled it, as soon as I sealed the keg i gave it a a few seconds of gass at about 15psi then purged the keg to get any air out then I just sat the keg in the fridge for roughly 24 hrs to bring...

    Huge Head !

This is the first time I have used a keg system for home brew and having purchased the set up of a mate, "as is", I am unsure of the internal diameter of the pipe but it certainly looks like it is the best place to start. I will replace the pipe with about 10ft and take it from there, I can...

    Huge Head !

Hey Guys So I put down my first brew in about 25years a few weeks ago now, a Mexican Cerveza, double batch and kegged it just under 2 weeks ago. I had a few issues at the time and the help I recieved here was greatly appreciated and now I need a bit more advice. I refrigerated the keg for 1 day...

    Initial Gassing

Hey Guys Just about to fill my keg for the first time and I was after some advice on the initial Co2 charge I should put in the keg, I have been told about a dozen different amounts so far ranging from 10psi up to 30psi. Got any thoughts ? Cheers Peter

    Very Low Sg

Is the valium for me or the Brew ;) I am not in any particular hurry to get into it so at this stage I am quite happy to let it sit for a while before I start searching for the bottom of the Keg. I am however sure the dark forces that will be harnessed within the keg will break my will power...

Hi Guys Just a follow up from my "Concerned" post a couple of days ago Just took an SG reading and although I confess with my eyes I may be a point out I am getting a reading of SG 1.003 which I also got this morning. Any lower and I would be under the floor to read it !! Should I be worried...

    Concerned

Many discussions were had with Yoda before proceeding. I have actually brewed before but it was about 25 years ago, loved it, but the bottles drove me mad. The only way I was ever going to do it again was in a Keg :) So here we are..................................

    Concerned

I just used the yeast enclosed in the Kit. I gave the brew a good stir then cast the yeast once the brew had stopped spinning. After about 2 hrs of the temp sitting around 28c I strapped some ice packs to the fermenter and managed to get the temp down to a constant 25c where it is still at...

    Concerned

Hey Guys, I am a newbie so be gentle. Just over 3 days ago I put down a double batch of Mexican Cerveza in the fermenter to go into my keg. I used 2kgs of a dextrose/malt mix and filtered water to top up the fermenter but without a fridge big enough to hold the fermenter and hot air temps I had...
