Cheers! Yeah I'm trying to normalize the audio on future videos, but really I'd just like to get a nice microphone.

No way! I found one at bunnings for ~12 bucks. I'll have to see if I can find which one it was. EDIT: having said that, it was 5mm, so the price might rise quickly when sizing up.

They're my favourite steel capped thongs :P I actually purchased a 5.5mm cobalt (maybe carbide?) drill bit on the weekend and it chewed through a pot like butter. I'll have to create an update post.

I just purchased Cyberlink's Power Director 12. It had good reviews and seems to work quite well. Compression however I'm not quite sure what to do yet, that first vid was 2gb. took about 5 hours to upload.

Hi Ruckus, I'd be happy to accept vids for addition. The more aussie content we can generate, the better. I'm shooting for a particular format to begin with so I'd prefer you guys to email me (and I'll download and edit the videos myself). I'm also keen to come and visit people to record videos...

Hey mckenry, awesome point. I've always thought of the foam as the majority of the break material and always seen it referred to as the "The Hot Break", but I can see that yeah, anything that precipitates out of solution due to the heat is hot break. I guess it's just a convenient name for that...

I posted my first video today, and I'm keen to get your...

    Vale Geronimo

Oh no! I remember many a Friday afternoon with a $5 pint, listening to that bloke on the keyboard. Geronimo certainly was the cheapest 7.5% beer I ever drank.

Using prop glycol to water jacket heat all other vessels

I didn't want to go steam for this exact reason. Too dangerous. I'd prefer an unsealed boiler pumping liquid around the place, which is essentially what we do with wort already.

Using prop glycol to water jacket heat all other vessels

I'd like a closed loop, however to immerse the pot in the liquid i'd have to build a sealed jacket which not sure I'd be able to do easily, especially with fittings etc poking out of each one.

Using prop glycol to water jacket heat all other vessels

I'd like to design a system that has one boiler that drives the heat of all other vessels (HLT, MLT and Kettle) by pumping hot prop glycol through coils around the pots. Does anyone know of the best/easiest DIY way of achieving good heat transfer? Has anyone tried, or am I just a mad man?
