If after you fill with the carbonation cap you place in the fridge for a couple of hours, the carbonation goes back into the liquid. You can then quickly change to a lid without too much loss before heading out.
Hang on, I'm supposed to replace that washer every time I fill the Co2 bottle? I've literally never done this (although it's only been 2 years). Does everyone do this?
I have to say I was pretty impressed with the quality of the feedback. This was my first comp so I wasn't sure what to expect but the descriptions were spot on, detailed and helpful. Really appreciate the effort guys
My theory is chlorine, it mutes the hop flavours. Just getting into adjusting my water now and am hopeful this will help. I feel a lot of breweries also have this issue
Haha I do like the idea of inviting myself around for homebrew. My wife might be confused when I tell her I'm off to drink beers with someone I don't know who I found on the internet!
I'm down here with the family and seeking out good beer. Mornington Peninsula Brewery and Red Hill Brewery are definitely on the agenda but do not open until later in the week. If it helps I'm at rosebud but willing to drive
Really not sure. I'm usually pretty good with sanitation but must have let it slip. My fermenter has a few scratches in it so I'm going to replace it and all other cold side items. Hopefully it'll get better!
To be honest they are just well designed. I like the tap that breaks apart real easy for cleaning. I like the lid structure and not having to stuff around with cling wrap and I like that they are clear so I can stare at my beautiful creation.
For the sake of a couple of extra bucks, it's money...
