    Bigger Batches

Sample time! Not quiet 2 weeks since bottling. This is an amazing beer. Full of flavor, chocolate /coffee. It’s still under carbonated which is to be expected at this early stage. Side question - when priming with dextrose is it the same quantity as cane sugar?

    Bigger Batches

Mine was bottled yesterday and I got 39 big bots. It did have a slight vinegar taste so hopefully I haven’t got a bug in there. I’m going to leave it to carb up then try it in 2 weeks. As soon as I bottled I managed to get 31 liters of pale ale down. I was rushing and didn’t even add hops! I’m...

    Bigger Batches

I’m looking forward to a taste of this. Will post the verdict when it’s in. I’m really pushing the limits with the size of this brew. Not much room for error here.

    Bigger Batches

This is what I ended up going with. I think I will go up to 32 liters. It should be a full flavor stout

    Bigger Batches

Hi team, I’m lazy and want to brew less often. Does anyone have 30 liter extract recipes? I would like to do a stout first and then an APA. Cheers

    Infection?

I’m very cautious not to get sediment in the glass. After pouring the first glass it’s like there is some sort of reaction in the bottle once the first has been poured

    Infection?

Would this be an infection? It’s a blonde pilsner and first glass out of every bottle is great but the second is cloudy , flat and barely drinkable. Current cleaning/sanitizing is rinse bottle 3 times when first emptied ,run through dish washer then store upside down in the garage until ready...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

I was under the impression that once you open the valve after dry hopping the oxygen will travel through the beer to the top ( not causing any trouble) and then you give the relief valve a few pulls and that will release the oxygen though the top because the co2 is heavier than the oxygen and...

    Can of goo not dissolved

Thanks for the wise words. I was considering taking off the bottle and giving it a bit of a swirl to encourage it . Would that be recommended?
