    Cooking with Gas

Well the jury is out - Electric it is! Digital control is the primary factor AND given we just purchased a home in WA with solar panels the choice is easy.

    Craft beer - first impressions

If you have a friend that has never tried craft beer have them take their shirt off and record them taking that first sip. Which one are you?

    True colors

At first appearance a brew can be deceiving or relieving. Here's a collage of some brews I did up. IPA's, porters, stouts, hef's, barleywines to name a few. Most are unfiltered.

    What's your main base malt?

Good to know your experience. Loads of info on their website Crisp Malt | British Malting Company | Manufacturer & Supplier of UK Malt. And it's been commercially grown in AU since the 60's. I'm liking the flavor and aroma profiles. Thanks for mentioning it. Once I get all set up and the brew...

    What's your main base malt?

I would guess your name is Rodney :-) Didn't look into that - still a good thread. May I ask do you buy locally or use an online supplier? That Maris Otter looks to be right up my alley - thx!

    What's your main base malt?

Learned a lot from this thread. Curious @mosto how many brews have you done since the first post in your thread and what do you find yourself using as a base malt for your favorite style of beer?

Equipment For Sale AG setup -includes Urn, Mash Tun, Brew Pot, Burner, Fermenters, cubes, fermenter fridge, kegerator and more!

For me I had 100's of bits, fittings, carboys, kegs, hoses, scales, fun wall art and charts, etc. Plus I was on a timeline having to move soon. It was a turn-key setup so really best option in my case.

Equipment For Sale AG setup -includes Urn, Mash Tun, Brew Pot, Burner, Fermenters, cubes, fermenter fridge, kegerator and more!

IMO you should list a price and sell it all as a package. When I sold my setup people wanted this and that which would have made the remaining stuff harder to sell. You have a great starter kit for someone local wanting to start a new hobby. Aside from my kegerator, which I did sell separately...

    perfect temp control with gas

Kudo's Matto, It's great to see someone else's experience in building a gas-fired home brewery with great temperature control that results in excellent efficiency. For those using gas, there are some very helpful tips here. That BCS-460 and Honeywell valve sounds like the ticket to first class...

    US to MX to AU

In Los Cerritos actually - nice little beachfront surfing community near El Pescadero about 45 min north of Cabo. Since no brew suppliers in the area everything has to ordered from the states which get hit with tax and fees of about 30%. Not to mention takes about 2 weeks to get stuff. All the...
