New MLT in oak cladding

Just finished up this brew sculpture and MLT. PUF and tassie oak cladded for insulation and aesthetic properties!

very nice ! and great idea, what type of insulation under the wood if any, and would this mash tun be able to be on burner for step mashing! very classy
 
The wood may be enough on its own, but I used a high temp polyurethane foam between the wood and keg. Similar stuff to what a rev head might use under his bonnet to insulate the engine bay. Available at Clarke rubber. It's rated to over 100C (probably much higher in fact) so could be used on a burner, but I'd be careful about how close the flame went to the wood. For reasons of discolouration (and burning)!
