Ball valve to throttle pump back during sparge, wide open during mash
Should the throttle valve not be closer to the pump discharge? Otherwise you're putting unnecessary stress on all the piping between the throttle valve and the pump discharge. Especially if your silicon tubing isn't rated to the pump head at sparge temp. Just worth checking to save a bursted tube and a loss of elixir in the event you throttle that back to zero and deadhead your pump. Also, a globe valve, such as your garden tap type can offer more control than a ball valve.

Just saw the pump you're using... little brown has only 0.3 bar I think, prob not even an issue.

Cheers, yeah the LBP is not all that powerful but works wonders.

Just got a second to circulate the sparge water while heating.
