Little bit of lube on the end of the beer line. Make sure it’s a clean straight cut (the cutter from KL does a good job). If you’re unsure you can use a marker to show how deep it should go (can be hard to know as you don’t always feel both orings as they seat).

A quick google finds a few threads elsewhere, some of which have calculations listed to work out the difference in volume based on temperature etc, but short answer, there are a lot of variables including fermenter size, shape, volume, headspace... there are 'co2 harvesters' out there...

Usually a little lube on the o-ring (keg and/or disconnect) makes a big difference (not necessarily every time you disconnect / every day, but periodically). I often have a small amount of spillage when removing a disconnect, so that might be building up on the keg post causing the disconnect...

Appreciate the insight. Disappointing (from a perspective of me being selfish), but obviously I don’t know the ins and outs of maintaining it so certainly not going to weigh in on the decision/outcome.

Curious where you heard this? It seemed quite sudden and I believe there are others more in the know who were also surprised that it went down...
