    Does anyone have a Co2 regulator with gauges in Litres/min instead of Kpa or Psi and what are the correct values for carbonating and pouring from the keg. DALOB

    Just managed to remove the spear as per Tim's instructions, worked like a charm. I can now empty,fill and clean this keg a hell of a lot easier. Still not sure about the purging after filling but it's a start. DALOB

    Just read that there is supposed to be a circlip that you can remove to be able to then remove the spear from the keg. This will not help removing the oxygen after filling but may make cleaning and filling a lot easier. Guess I am busy tonight.

    I will give him a call (if he is home). I know he can clean it as he was emptying out the cleaning solution while I was there. I did not see what he was doing though, drinking beer at the time....

    Nope, no valve. Only the two fitting I mentioned that are part of a unit with a quarter turn thread that screws into the keg. DALOB

    Rob, Thanks for the info. The keg I have has two screw fittings. One on the top for the beer and one on the side for the Gas. To open the keg you pullout and push down on a lever, this opens the valve to allow the beer to flow.. I am not too sure about another valve, will have a look...

    I have just purchased a keg system that came with a 50Lt keg instead of an 18Lt. This keg also does not come with a pressure relief valve. Can anyone tell me how I can Burp and purge my keg of oxygen after filling to leave only Co2 and beer. Thanks DALOB
