$25 grain mill motor from bread maker

The thread that (hopefully) keeps on giving. All pics will be put on at the end. Picked up a breville bread maker today and just ripped it apart. The cap has no tabs just 2 wires soldered directly to the motor see pics. Any help on this side of things would be appreciated. Cheers

    Coopers malts

Don't smash with galaxy, too harsh for early additions. I'd suggest something like mosaic or Amarillo But the malt should be ok in a smash

    First time AG

He does do biab but aside from quantities and methods a smash recipe is a smash recipe and he's done a few - at least that was where I was heading with the suggestion anyway. Good luck with brew day keep us posted with results

I follow fast homebrew (ruddager on this forum) as my main homebrewer on YouTube. Gash slugg is one who uses a robobrew so be worthwhile following him too. Craigtube is another but i havent watched his stuff for ages. personally I think im getting a better understanding of what im doing as i...

    First time AG

He said my processes were ok just need to fine tune things which will come with experience so i was pretty happy with that. Below is a recipe that im...

BIAB- gonna have a go , need gear

The ally might be a problem. Something about leaching stuff into the wort if i recall. Gumtree for a keg (or if you wanna risk it, permanently borrow one from a pub or similar) cut the top off and away you go

    Brewers friend question

You got the answer as well as info on where to look for the answers next time. I didn't see it as being a smart arse or anything other than helpful. Perceptions a bitch especially on forums as text has no tone. It causes many misconceptions and arguments simply due to ones interpretations of...

    BIAB Newbie

Check out fast homebrew on YouTube he brews biab in a crown urn. Im no expert but I wouldn't be worried much about the water unless you are trying to enter a competition. As far as i know you should be able to make decent beer from rain water and most tap water

BIAB- gonna have a go , need gear

    Brewing with a crook back

There could be some mechanical aids to help with the lifting. Still be a pain in the rear but you'd eventually find a solution that works well for you.

    Food Gardening

We looked at building a new house, but life changed and it didnt end up happening, i digress... anyway when we were going through the processes every builder we talked to said that while its a cheaper way to do it and it also meets minimum regulations most engineers wont certify it as suitable...
