HELP! I think my first batch may be dodgy!

Checked it again with a different hydrometer (borrowed from my experienced mate) he agrees, it's reading 1010 across all 3 samples I took today. I don't like this sampling thing it's taking away my beer!

HELP! I think my first batch may be dodgy!

It's not a pale ale kit if that's what is being referred to. Yes it would be light in colour given its a lager kit I wouldn't expect a blackened colour from a "golden lager" kit I don't think. Unless something has gone hire boy wrong lol. It looks the colour it should be, it's just light in...

HELP! I think my first batch may be dodgy!

It's been sitting between 18℃ (overnight) and 26℃ (day time) according to the thermometer on my fermenter. I'm brewing basic and old school Just jam it in the corner of the garage and leave it alone was the plan. The lack of vapour was what drew my attention originally which led to my...

HELP! I think my first batch may be dodgy!

Hi guys, I put my first batch down on Saturday (5 days ago) in a sterile and airtight fermenter (My mate with several years experience helped me get setup and showed me the ropes). I have had very minimal activity from the hydro lock since putting it down and today decided to take a hydrometer...

Cheers guys. I'm not planning on rushing into adventures of partial mash too quick! I'll get a few good kit based batches through my gear first and go from there!

N00b brewer from Brisbane's Eastern Suburbs

Forgot to mention. My first brew is a Mangrove Jacks golden lager and I plan to do a cider run immediately after bottling this beer batch. The local brew shop is great! Across the road from work (literally) so will make things quite easy to keep the ball rolling. I'm also interested in...
