i used a WY3068, and to my suprise as i was racking to secondary there was not a single bit of yeast on the bottom after 15 days in primary! All on the surface, so i skimmed it. Never seen a yeast do that before, i was about to dump a new wort on the cake too :( This common? I know this yeast...

I use a 'thermos' esky. I kid you not, last time my mash stayed at the 67 deg i started it at. But that thing holds the heat so well, touching the outside of the esky it still feels normal room temperature.

Hmm i had some problem with a american pale i did. Can you put it into a secondary? I did that for another week, got rid of most of that!

the hangover with them i found to be minimal! Dont have that massive, bloated, ive eaten too much feeling. Unless of course you have smoked like a train <_<

i use to do the lines at a local pub, its enough to put you off drinking commercial beer. Blowing out huge bits of mould, green slime (always in the pale line), not to mention the stale beer smell! You can taste the difference once cleaned properly. Make sure you rinse well after your chemical...

all tooheys taste like shit. I get that 'tinny' taste in my mouth too with all their beers.

As said above the brew itself is cascade/chinook, a couple of recipes ive seen people mostly dry hopping chinook. But then my local reckons that this will make it a bit too grassy. I chucked my chinook in at flame out. I reckon a couple of cascade flower plugs to dry hop will do nicely!

Im currently trying to build up my HB stock so i can have one Long neck a nite. Its hard trying not to drink beers that are only just carbed up, and still green, its bloody hard! Dan murphys will see me through :)

while i agree partly with what you say, when the seller admits that customers have may been misguided by his misleading advertising, you cannot simply put all the blame onto dumb buyer!

Yeh i know! I emailed him asking if there was something i was missing with the sale, because it was so expensive. His reply was "No nothing special, but the bidders must think theres something else included with the sale".

I got mine through recycling depot for 30c each. I would still pay up to a dollar each if they asked! Put them on ebay, they'll go fast.

Did you just make it with a can of LME? I think i might try some cascade or amarillo in the next one.
