Feeling electricity through hands when using Guten

This has got to be a gag. It just has to be.

I hope that the CAPEX is approved and the capital is released :)

Another Kegging (for a beginner) Thread

I keen to get the fermentasaurus with a pressure cap, but I think that I will prioritise a single vessel system. I'm keen to ditch the kits and 10l biab batches. Beauty of the fermentasaurus is you can serve from it directly if your not in a rush to put on another batch.

    Galaxy Amarillo pale ale?

I think that they will work well together. I would combine them. Depending on ratios, when and how you can expect a tropical/grapefruity kind of flavour.

No Gas coming out of brand new full CO2 cylinder

Are you near k**k***? They should be happy to swap it out for you. All of my experiences have been pretty bad with them but they have always made good.

No Gas coming out of brand new full CO2 cylinder

My money is on a faulty valve

No Gas coming out of brand new full CO2 cylinder

Unsure, I know that there are valves that will shut off gas in the event of sudden pressure loss but I would only expect to see that with flammable gas. Have you got some scales to weigh the cylinder?

No Gas coming out of brand new full CO2 cylinder

I'm wondering if somehow the tap isn't acting on the valve

No Gas coming out of brand new full CO2 cylinder

I would say that the value head is faulty is the tap in good nick?

No Gas coming out of brand new full CO2 cylinder

Is there no flow at all? What kind of cylinder is it? I'm thinking that it's a stuck valve

    Newbie equipment setup

Once you have temperature control then I guess that it is up to you what direction you go. Ss definitely has some advantages over plastic and I think that the main advantage of conical is the reduced surface area of trube that the beer will be in contact with. Some conicals will allow you to...

    Newbie equipment setup

One of my fermentors is a ss brewtec brew bucket, worth its weight but it's true that it is a luxury. The main benefits I get from it is the complete blocking of light, lower surface area of contact with trube (spelling?) and closed transfers to kegs. I wouldn't rule out stainless but I would...

    Gas lines

I use a 4mm ID for the beer side to control foam and you can serve at higher pressure which is good for higher carbonation levels and you can have shorter beer lines if that's a thing for you. If you use the 4mm tho you will need to use push in fittings, they bring extra costs to your build but...

    Gas lines

Same thing, generally the difference is the inner diameter of the tube. Most tube has an outer diameter of 8mm and generally an inner diameter of 4mm, 5mm or 6mm. I use 4mm ID (8mmOD) for the liquid side, 6mm ID (10mm OD) from the regulator to the Manifold and 6mm ID (8mm OD) for gas to the keg...

    Brewing with pure lupulin?

I nearly bought some the other day, I was planning on a dry hop and was unsure so I went with the pellets

    Gas lines

One of the lines off my Manifold is the 6mm pvc tubing from bunnings the other three lines are the normal polyethelene tubing cut to the shortest length possible (just long enough to to set the keg down just outside the fridge. I prefer the Polyethelene over the pvc because I trust it more.

    First brew

Depends on your tastes, once I push another pale ale and this can of cheap and nasty "larger" though the brewery I'm going to put down a porter
