I tend to brew a coopers real ale kit every so often when I'm running low and don't have the time to brew a AG. I use the kit yeast, temp control fridge and only difference is I dry hop for 24 hours before cold crash (24-48hrs) with around 50-70g of a fav hop and they turn out very drinkable...

    OG Changing?

I had a similar experience with my last brew but it was the other way around (higher by 4-5 points). I let the post-boil wort cool down to room temp before taking a reading to but my higher reading was after tipping the cube into the FV so it was aerated, not straight from the cube.

    Which BIAB Starter Kit?

They ended up putting two in, one copper and the other stainless. I haven't bothered timing how long it takes to get to the boil because its not noticeable.

    Killing yeast in cider

After reading two blog post's on Brulosophy.com (this one about dry hopping cider) he uses a mix of potassium metabisulfite and potassium sorbate to kill the yeast. He puts the two powders in for 24 hours before dry hopping or if not dry hopping before racking. I've bought both and will be...
