could you elaborate a little more for me, this sounds like something I could try, thanks for all the great suggestions guys I appreciate it,now I wanna know where did you all get your temp controller from, what have you done at home to keep your temps constant

Temperatures could be one of my problems, sometimes fluctuates to as low as 16 overnight, highest I've seen is 22 I'm very particular about sanitation as well, the brews aren't infected so I don't tthink sanitation is the problem, they are not really recipes, I just follow the DVD instructions...

hey guys, I've done three batches of beer, one batch pear cider and just bottled a ginger beer. the first two beers were pretty average, the third is ok, but still not something I'm proud of, I followed the instructions (coopers homebrew kit) I'm not a beer snob, I'll drink vb so it's not me...

Have just taken another reading and its down to 1.012 so it must be getting close to bottle time. i put the hydrometer in water (only tap couldn't get distilled) and it was bang on 1.000 so looks like the hydrometer is at least pretty close. thanks for all the help guys

thanks heaps for all of the really helpful responses guys, I tipped a little out and got a ready of 1.015 so we are back on track, should be ready for bottling very soon!

Hey everyone. Just started my first brew 8 days ago and was after some advice. Just using the coopers kit with the premix can, everything seemed to be going well, smells like beer looks like beer, tastes like (albeit a little flat) beer. I took a hydrometer reading on day 1 and got 1.035 day 6...

hey guys first post here started my first brew on Monday, using the coopers kit with a premix that comes with the kit. the instructions say after three days remove the collar and replace the lid, or when the foam subsides, it's day 4 now and the foam is still about an inch high in the middle...
