Hey Kegland, what do you reckon about doing some replacement doors for the Grand Deluxe without the glass? Mine gets a little bit of direct sun, so I have to stick a cover over the doors to not perish the keg post orings and skunk my beer. A solid insulated black door would look pretty slick...

@KegLand-com-au Any chance of getting in some bigger conical flasks? Your 5L one is much closer to 4L than 5L and is too small for a double batch lager.

FYI the same things needed for growing mushrooms are also applicable to growing Koji and I think you would see a lot of foodies interested if the ferment chamber had these capabilities.

It's definitely beer stone. As I said, BS Remover is effective where acid is not. BS Remover is just way overpriced so I am looking for a cheaper alternative. Phosphoric/Nitric blend also works very well but getting Nitric acid is a pain.

Yeah I'm in Perth so the water is quite hard ~110ppm as CaCO3. I have tried undiluted vinegar as a substitute for BS remover to no effect. Will give the lactic a go.

Yeah I rate barkeepers friend but I have a real problem with beer stone/calcium build up on my yeast starter flasks.

@KegLand-com-au Any plans to start selling either Nitric acid or an equivalent to Five Star B.S. Remover? I find phosphoric/nitric mixed solution to work really well but it's a pain to get the nitric acid.

I second that. The quick clean ball valves are fantastic but the shipping from the states is a bitch and BSP thread would be much better than NPT.

3/4" would be good for hooking up to a garden tap also.

You need a double shutoff valve that will shutoff the waste as well like this (Auto Shut-Off Float Valve Upgrade Kit - Reef Pure RO Systems) otherwise everything will just run out the waste.

Yeah it is. I wouldn't recommend having it on the same outlet as a tap though as the drawdown from the tap/pump will pull the level reading down which makes it inconvenient to measure how much you are drawing out.

Is anyone using on of the 65W pumps with 1/2" fittings and hose? I want a bit of extra flow/pressure through my CFC and also to have a longer hose run out to the fermenting fridge but I'm not sure how much better this pump would be over my 25W once it's restricted down to 1/2" from 3/4".

@KegLand-com-au Any plans for a fermzilla blowoff tube adapter? A right-angle threaded to 1/2" hose barb would be pretty ideal.
