Ive been kegging for about 5 months and the following works for me. I brew my beer for a week in the fermenter, then move the fermenter into my kegerator at about 1-2 degrees for 3 days to clear the beer. Then I transfer the beer to the keg, pump 40psi of CO2 into in for 36-48 hours. After...

Hey Colo how did the lager end up? I tried mine after 2 weeks in the bottle and it was naaaasty. First beer Analysis

Hey Colo, you are right.. leaving in the fermenter for that long is going to be hard, but ill give it a go. I have not tried the wheat beers that you mentioned, but i have tried a home brewed wheat beer sometime ago, and although it lacked a little in the taste department, it was still a nice...

    First time Brewer/Kegger

thanks for the replies. yeah im not to concerned about the first 1/2 a beer or so being warm, having beer on tap at home will be to good to worry about that. I havent got a lot of money to spend on the setup at the moment, so ill probably start with the bar, and then get the kegging gear and...

    Bottling vs keg taste

So i am reading that once your beer is bottled the longer that you leave it the better it seems to taste. So if you keg your brew and force carbonate it and therefor start drinking it a few days after fermentation does it not taste as nice as bottled beer that may have been sitting around for a...
