Food & Beer Pairing - Are They Serious?

I guess none of you can swear very well in Swiss German, because the dry spritzy bitterness doesn't translate into something I would be putting in my mouth!

    New Beer Fridge

Nice paint job and while the stickers are not to my kind of style (ie, not beer! coopers excluded of course) they are very well applied, I like the temp controller between the two taps. Well done mate!!! Do you have before and after photos? Cheers Brett

    White Rabbit Dark Ale Clone

I agree with Manticle, get it out of the bottle. Look at these sums, White labs or Wyeast cost about $15 bucks even if you could get the strain, which I'm pretty sure you can not. A six pack of WRDA is give or take a few bucks $20, culture the yeast up from a few bottles and you get to drink the...

    Colonial Brewing Co. Margaret River

Yeah they are still going Dig, I had a chat with Richo a few months ago and they where upgrading the brewhouse to 25hl, should all be in and running by now. I feel that a lot of brewers have not entered beers this year, we even reduced our entries to 3 for LCB and 1 for WR, but Dig WR Dark Ale...

Is Any One Still Using A Hop Back

They also use one at the White Rabbit. I made one out of a damaged cornie keg that I got for free off Roy @ TWOC. All I did was to cut the keg in half, weld two 1.5 inch tri-clover fittings on and made a false bottom out of some stainless steel mesh and a band of stainless I cut off the keg...

    Hop Help

If you can give me a photo of a single leaf it will help, but it is still hard to identify plants this way! the cone looks like a Mt Hood or Aurora/Super Styrian, but the pineapple aroma does not fit. Might be a NZ Hallertau, but still not a fit with the pineapple. Cheers Brett

    Tri-clover Fittings

Hey Kaizer the stool, BSM are sanitary and speaking about wine/cider sanitary conditions, what about mixing up the 3kgs of dried yeast using a bucket that isnt so clean and liquor that isnt exactly sterile and then mixing it all up with your nice and dirty hands, remember doing that stuff Kia...

Mash Time And Beer Foam ?

I'm pretty sure that if every time a newish member asks a question and gets a response like this we won't have any new members. A bit of understanding go a long way people! It's not a stupid question it shows that this person is thinking about what they are doing and responding to these...

Bandito, Dont know it off the top of my head but I have it in a book at work, its not the same as water as wort contains sugars that make it much more dense, will have a look for you tonight when I'm at work. Cheers Brett

    How To Avoid Infection

Bradley once you have mixed PAA with water it quickly breaks down and becomes inactive; all you are left with is some sanitized water in a bottle after a very short time. Ethanol and distilled water mixed 70% and 30% are much better as a long lasting sanitizer to use on your tap before and...
