Hey all, I'm trying to add some recipes to the Grainfather app but Matis Otter isn't listed, is it known as something else?

I couldn't help myself today, I done my second brew, the black jack dry stout. The aroma in the garage whilst I was brewing was awesome, very dark wort which you would expect and another great brew day!

Next up for me will be the Black Jack dry stout kit that come with the Grainfather

Just checked the brew and it's happily fermenting away, lots of airlock activity!

Thanks guys, the Grainfather arrived today, I've run it through a clean to get rid of any manufacturing oils / residuals that were left and I'm very impressed so far, I never realised how quiet the whole thing is, the pump especially! Hopefully I can get to the store and get the grain milled...

My Grainfather arrives tomorrow, looking forward to getting my first all grain brew under my belt. I've got the black jack stout kit coming with it but I'm thinking it would be wise to brew a beer that I've brewed with extract before so I can see the differences, thinking of a smurtos golden...

Thanks Diesel that's very kind, I wouldn't mind trying that brew, been thinking about trying make an allgrain version of an extract kit coopers put together called centenarillo ale, it was a great drop!

Hey Diesel, I'm up in ocean reef so super close, thanks very much that's awesome! I'll brew the grainkids kit that's coming with the Grainfather but I've got a load of centennial and Amarillo hops, any suggestions for a nice ale using those two?

Ah nice that sounds like a great idea, I've got a vacuum sealer with loads of rolls so I could vac them back up for storage, just contacted brewcraft and they said they can supply grain that's ready milled, I asked them to send over a price list. Thanks, I'll keep an eye out for a mash master...

Thanks Wort that's very kind, I'll get a mill eventually, any recommendations for a decent one? I'll give the greenwood guys a shout as they are close, looking at the sacks of grain and they look to be a lot cheaper, we'll have to see if we can get a few of us NOR and maybe split a couple of sacks?

Hey guys is there anywhere in Perth to get some good quality grain from? I haven't got a mill at present so somewhere that would mill it for me too would be good.

I haven't but I can run out and get some, will PBW be ok for the cleaning cycles?

Does the Grainfather come with the cleaner in the box? If not I'll have to run out and get some to do the initial clean.
