    Braumeister - Tips & Tricks

    I used 5.2kg of grain and got about 20L in the fermenter and 2.5L or so of trub. From memory I mashed in at about 35, then 10 minutes at 52, 70 minutes at 65 and 10 at 78. Also sparged /rinsed.

    First Brew could not have gone any more smoothly, finished with a OG of 1.061 but with a efficiency of 84% (I got about 3 litres more than I anticipated). Will be brewing a lot more regularly with this bad boy.

    All grain quality from extract beer?

    In terms of Hops, I just threw in 220g of Mosaic and Simcoe in my Hoppy Session IPA that I brewed today. I would say if you like your IPA/Hoppy beers (I certainly do), you need to put in 200g plus of hops in a 18-20 L batch. But it always depends on what style of beer you are brewing obviously...

    AHB Biggest Loser Challenge!

    I actaully starting losing weight due to a biggest loser competition at work. Started at 112 (Quite Fat), and I am now a solid 95 (Little bit fat). The competition started 3 months ago and the final weigh in was yesterday, won a huge $400 dollars!

    Did my second Brew with this today, And had some problems. Mash went well and the first half of the boil was fine until it suddenly just stopped working. Will have to look at getting it replaced.     Hop Dealz Australia

    I did the same thing, went in to get some el dorado and some Citra. Finished with 17 different hop varieties.
