    Maltodextrin substitute

You could also try lactose, if interested in a sweet style stout

    Maltodextrin substitute

Hi Chester, what sort of beer are you making? Carapils could work for a lighter style, or you could add some light crystal for a little more flavour.

I have the smaller model and its a good bit of kit and am sure the larger units are too. I've also brewed on a 35L brewzilla, they have the bigger brewzilla too. Just a thought to consider the smaller models, and do more batches - more variety. Best wishes for the return to brewing

    Brewing a Lager

No problem. The ingredients you are using would result in a 'dry' lager with light body. If you subbed the dex or corn syrup addition for 500g of malt, you will have something similar in alcohol content with a bit more body and malt flavour.

    Brewing a Lager

There is nothing wrong with mixing the two and it really depends on what OP is hoping to achieve with the recipe.

    Brewing a Lager

It's a great idea to add some DME into the mix. It will give your lager a bit more body and flavour. What are the other ingredients you plan on using?

Growler, a Citra-hopped pilsner, from Brewdog's DIYDog101 PDF Nicely balanced with citra playing well with malts and pilsner style. a bit more yellow gold than the photo suggests

    Whats In The Glass

Here you go, Rocker This is the recipe of my friend Dr Rudi. Pretty sure the hop was named after him. I had to make some small changes (or delay making the beer). The local brewshop did not have munich II at the time so I used munich I. I had mangrove jacks us west coast so used that instead...

    Whats In The Glass

I'm pretty pleased with the outcome Less carbonation in mine resulted in a flavour difference. the original seemed to have more of a citrus note which could be easily tweaked as I did not have much Amarillo for the recipe and didn't compensate with extra citra.
