Brewers Round Tamworth New England Northern Plains

G'day Guys. I'm down in Quirindi and wouldn't mind being part of a club. I've been brewing for a while but just got into all grain last year. I've liked the Facebook page as well. Cheers Rheiny

    Basic mashing query

I got the grain pre cracked and don't think it was overly course. There was some glour in the bag. It definately wasn't floating. Next time I think I'll start with 16 or 17 litres with some extra water at temperature on hand to top up at the start as necessary. A pump is on my list to get, just...

    Basic mashing query

    Basic mashing query

I had to make a Robobrew profile so it's probably for a traditional mash tun. I'll check out the Keg King site and see what it says. Generally speaking, the liquor should be over the grain without recircing shouldn't it? I haven't found it actually said one way or the other anywhere.

    Basic mashing query

G'Day All, I have just started all grain brewing after years doing tweaked kit and kilo brews. I have a Robobrew and got a recipe from Beersmith. After adding the stated hot liquor I put the grains in and noticed the liquid is below the top of the mash. Should I add more liquid or just keep...

Style Of The Week 10/12/08 - Fruit Beers

I made a lime 'radler' last year that worked out as agreat lawnmower beer. Just added juice from 3 limes cut up the rind and added that to the fermenter with a Coopers cerveza kit and brew enhancer (I know it's not all grain but we have to start somewhere). It added a nice bit lime tartness to...
