    New Cider Brewer

So I am drinking a glass of the apple cider with extra sugar added, and it is delicious. Followed the instructions, poured a cup of juice out of the bottle, added a cup of sugar, added yeast and shook it all up. Then let it ferment in a cupboard for 3 days, and put in the fridge for a day...

    Fermented Mango Juice

I have a quick question in regards to the above post. In the picture it appears you have used cling wrap as the "lid" for your juice bottles. How does this work, and what is the correct way to do it? I have 2 supermarket juices fermenting in the cupboard at the moment using OZtops. Can't wait...

    New Brewer!

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping Brewer Pete would see this as I have read some of your posts and you know your stuff. Thanks for the advice Airgead. I am not a big fan of dry wines and prefer sweet, hence why I'd like to do a sweet mead, but if it is difficult maybe I should try a drier...

    New Brewer!

Thanks for the replies. Yes, basic Mead is made from just honey, water, and yeast. It is called honey wine because of the process of making it, or so I'm told, but it isn't really a wine. Thanks for explaining the gravity stuff, knowing that will come in handy!
