    Propylene Glycol from Vape Stores

I found what I needed with Nexus Smoke products. They had it at a good price, and it was the 99.7% food grade kind you're talking about. It did the job well for me, and getting it was easy since I didn’t have to wait for it to be shipped. As long as it’s the good stuff and food grade like the...

    Propylene Glycol from Vape Stores

I needed Propylene Glycol for something I was working on too. Wanted something decent but didn’t want to spend too much.

    Getting out of brewing sale

So far have had a decent offer for the lot so might just go with that. If it falls through I might start being willing to split bits up. Would rather see it all gone to someone keen to make use of it though.

    Getting out of brewing sale

Hey all, Decided to give brewing a break for a bit - lost a bit of the passion and am too busy atm to do something that was becoming a chore. Looking to get rid of basically all my brewing equipment. I'm not really going to list prices as most of it is fairly dirty and in need of some TLC...

    Recipe With Short Fermentation Time?

Hefeweizen/Wheat beer is the obvious choice. Many other styles, especially lower gravity ales will be good to go in about a week, but I find the conditioning period helps to drop some of the trub matter which gives a cleaner perception of the bitterness. For me, hefe's are just about perfect...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Wholeheartedly agree. A friend of the brewers dropped a few bottles off for me to try when I used to work at Purvis. Couldn't stand that one.

    My First Apa

Personally I'd add an extra 20g at 0 minutes, and another 20 for dry hopping. Other than that it looks pretty darn good.

    S-type Kegs

Same price as Cornelius type kegs. I'd definitely go with them instead. Easier to work with in terms of fittings, and much easier to clean.

No Malt Or Hop Flavour After Conditioning

Sounds like oxidation to me. Could either be from HSA or excessive exposure to oxygen somewhere in the transfer process. Do you rack to secondary? What is your procedure for kegging a beer?

    Melbourne Pub Wanted

If your wife is a keen 'foodie', Josie Bones is the only venue that would really tick off both categories whilst also being walking distance away. Would recommend it highly. It's not cheap, but it's not outrageous for the service and quality you get.

What's Your Favourite Nz Beer / Brewery?

8 Wired and Epic. Have not tried a bad beer from either. I can't say that about too many Australian breweries. Hop zombie is unreal, though I can understand why some would say it is a little under-bittered.

First Ag, Biab + No Chill, Successfully Completed

Given that it came Out slightly under gravity, im not sure that is the best approach. I think it's better in the long run to have an accurate understanding of your boil off rates and just adjust volumes accordingly.

    RecipeDB - Czech Pilsner

Ah, cheers. Happy to be proven wrong if it means I learn something. I found the thread I read that info, and later in the thread this info is contradicted with plenty of supporting evidence. Should have kept reading the first time!

    RecipeDB - Czech Pilsner

I have read somewhere (on here, I think) that Pilsner Urquell is brewed using only a 60 minute hop addition. I reckon a beer as transparent as a clean pilsner, the 60 minute addition will have a fairly large impact on flavour. Urquell tastes pretty damn Saaz-y.
