    Plastic Conicals

Is there going to be a problem if a small ferment volume is put in a large conical? I see the rotamoulding folks have a 60L for $308 and the 150L is $396 Would a 25L brew in the 60L lead to problems? Likewise a 60L brew dumped in the 150L conical?

    Bulk Buy- Grain Mill

Yep; I paid $8 for a pack of 5 screws at Bunnings. Kind of eats away at any savings I had dealing directly with the supplier. If I ever get a free screw out of them I'll let everyone know (that's the Aussie tradition isn't it)

    Bulk Buy- Grain Mill

Yep I can undoubtedly get another screw myself (they did email the thread type and size); its just I thought 3 weeks would have been long enough. I haven't been to the USA . . . . . you mean to say it's "not possible" to put a screw in an envelope and put an airmail stamp on it? If so; what a...

    Bulk Buy- Grain Mill

Just so you know; the mail-handling can get a little rough between downunder and the USA. My MM2-2.0 arrived 3 weeks ago with a bent screw. I emailed MM with pics showing the damage to the box . . . . they said another screw would be sent out; meanwhile nothing has arrived. (I would have...

Building A Heating Lamp For My Ferm Chamber

I use an electric colum heater (oil filled) I bought from KMart for $9.00 (at the end of last winter). They often get dumped out on the nature strip too. Seems to work fine - has a built-in thermostat - I have it inside a polystyrene clad cupboard (the polystyrene was picked up on the street...

Grain Mill - Not All Rollers Are The Same

Well that's no help at all. Thank you for taking the time to list the pertinent design priorities; that's exactly what I'm wanting to read. Some back-to-back evidence would be great if anyone has any. [/indent]Summary of choices in standard mode: MM2-2.0($171 + $50 postage ) Has the bigger...

Grain Mill - Not All Rollers Are The Same

Unless Ive missed it; Im surprised that there isnt more discussion about the difference in roller surface knurling from one mill to another. Most of what Ive seen written reads more like barracking than a discussion working through the designs on offer ~ this is especially the case for...

    Monster Mill Order

I guess the Ozito drill may be a cheap version of the DEWALT (Mud Mixer) Spade Handle Drill; that one is advertised as having a very low RMP . . . there wasn't anything in the Ozito Manual I downloaded talking about RMP. I'm not sure what to think about 1.5 inch vs. 2 inch ~ I'm not aiming...

    Monster Mill Order

Quote: Any 2" mill will have to ship by itself. Doh! I didn't see that. Thank you for your effort anyway. Regards

Where To Buy Small Glass Carboys

"But the idea will likely be floated again soon." Hi Brewer Pete You reckon the idea might float in a month or two? Being a lazy sod, I'd like to get a couple of these auto-siphon things though an Aussie syndicate. I'd have thought that some local brewing supply shop would love to jump on the...
