    Yesterday I made 20 L of Leffe Blonde 4100g Crisp Pilsner malt 500g Munich malt 500g Flaked Maize 100g Golder Syrup 200g Dextrose EKG & Saaz hops CML Belgian yeast OG 1062 hoping for an ABV 6.8%

    This year I’ve brewed Munich Helles 22L 5.5% Belgian Blonde 12 L 6.2% Moose Drool Brown Ale 22 L 5.0% Erdinger 22 L. 5.5% Kwak 12 L. 8.4% Sierra Nevada 22 L 5.5%

    I’m a Northwich lad and we go shopping there regularly, I brew lagers with Ashbeck water bought in Tesco Northwich. I brewed Old Tom with a Nottingham like yeast from Crossmyloof Brewing in Glasgow.

    I’ve brewed Old Tom from Graham Wheeler’s recipe and it turned out very good. Can’t compare with the original as I’ve never had one.

    I think the foam was from Crosfields who made washing powder. They are now closed and manufacturing moved to the Netherlands. There’s Brexit for you.

    American Red Ale - Draft recipe opinions… be nice 😊

    I don’t know if you can get Red X malt in Australia I’ve used it 42% with Vienna and Maris Otter. It does what the name suggests. Red X 42% Vienna 31% MO 21% Cara red 5% Carafa 3 0.7%.

    Thanks, both breweries now gone as well as Burtonwood. G&W no loss as the beer was awful.
