    Next new S/S fermenter

Not sure what the stress is about? If you only ferment enough to fit in a corny it will be perfect. I waste so much to ensure I get a full keg. Post boil 25, transfer 21 or 22 litres to end up with a full corny. The two I have brewed so far were huge pitches of 1052 slurry at 19 deg c and they...

I love mine.nsecond brew brewing now. A lot easier to clean than the plastic one, and I don't have to look at all the dry, chalky **** on the inside of my old fermenters. Also Batz I took notice of the 30 litre mark while filling yesterday day. 25 litres was just over half way. When it's empty I...

    Over Attenuative Yeast.

I have the same problem with my beers, so tonight I am mashing with 30min @ 50, then the next rest is for 60min @ 70. Keeping in mind this is on a BM that raises temp 1 deg per min. So I will get plenty of B Amylase conversion between 50 deg and even some at 70 for a bit. Will be interested to...

Braumeister - Continuous temp rise mashing

Never noticed any diff with adding sugar. Even up to 20% in my Duvel Clone. Nice creamy head. Kits have up to 25% white sugar added to them, but thats not saying much.

Thats there to bump the OG up, due to limited room in the 20L Braumeister. 6 kgs is about its max.

Braumeister - Continuous temp rise mashing

Tomorrow I am doing one called Evil Dead Red. And American IPA/Red ale. No so interested in the malt profile with this one its more an experiment with extreme late hopping, including whirlpool hopping. Ingredients Ingredients Amt Name Type #...

Braumeister - Continuous temp rise mashing

Interesting you say that! as its going to take at least this length of time to raise up through the temp steps anyway without adding a rest in there, remember we are talk BM here. I would of though it would give you a less fermentable more dextrinous beer than usual. Anyway, I am brewing...

Braumeister - Continuous temp rise mashing

Have read a few historical threads along these lines, but none relating to the BM, just a RIMS system. Anyway, from memory the BM raises temp about 1 deg C per minute, and maybe a bit slower with malt in the pipe. So given that, has anyone mashed in and either had a protein rest at 50 ish then...

    Next new S/S fermenter

I said the weld is flush, perfect, flat, as if it's not even a weld, more **** could grown where the tap screws in, if you did not clean it for 30 years. Please do not buy one if u think its a big scam.

304 Grade S/S. Flush seam weld in the centre. The tap is a std thread that screws on. They sell a std ball valve also for $15. I did not buy it to save money otherwise I would just use my plastic ones. Apparently Olive Oil people are just as concerned about contamination as we are, funny that. I...

Any one seen one of these before? - Gas burner

I used one for years prior to BM. You need the H.P. Reg though. While I only ever used it on the lowest setting its still 10 times more powerful than a std BBQ reg.

Yes. It's a bizzar but simple design. I have had too many beers to explain but....... There is a central pin that screws fully out with half a turn. That releases fluid via 4 or 5 holes that are around the bulb bit you can see. Then it all flows out the .......outlet. Simple but very cool. No...
